I am a little behind on the blog postings due to the fact that everything with school is building up. Right now Chris is attempting to finish the paper work to buy a house! YAY!!! Now I am suppose to start picking out paint colors! Why so many shades? I mean really is all of that necessary! Between all of the paper work that has to be done and Chris working until late every night hopefully it will be final within the next few weeks! Fingers crossed!!
Last semester of school until internship in the Fall is hectic! Everyone is starting to hear where they are going to be placed in the Fall. Except me of course! I am still hoping that I will be in Rutherford County at Sunshine Elementary! Right now I am doing part of my required observations at Mills River Elementary with the sweetest children I have ever met! Let me tell you with 25 kindergarten students there is never a dull moment! On Saint Patrick's Day one student got chocked during lunch which caused him to throw up his lunch everywhere. It all happened so fast nothing could be done to prevent it. Sounds like a blast right?! Right after lunch another student had an accident in his pants. He just didn't get up to use the bathroom. Luckily I just stepped back and watched this MESS be taken care of! I got my first glance of what life is really like in a kindergarten classroom! Even though, all of the messes I still can't wait to have my own class full of little ones!

He proposed...And she said, "What, what, what, what?!"
This is our story, and we're sticking to it!
Chris and I were talking about vacations one day and realized we had not been ANYWHERE in a long, long time. So, we decided to take a break and head up to the mountains! Little did I know, Chris had been planning a little surprise. I had no idea of what was to come.
Weeks ahead of time, after discussing plans with my mom, Chris got up the nerve and decided it was time to start our life together. A week before the big proposal, mom could stand the secret no longer. Instead of just one person, she had to tell two. Liz and Kaye were sworn to secrecy, but the anticipation was killing all three.Wanting to make sure everything was perfect, Chris enlisted the help of his mom to ensure the ring was beautiful. This is how it all began.
The day of our trip, Chris Nascar-ed it fearlessly up the mountain, swirving between 18-wheelers. I felt a little sick. And fussed the whole time. Sure wish I had known what was coming, and MAYBE I would have held my tongue... just a little bit.
In Seiverville, Tennessee we rented a cabin in the middle of the woods, right on top of a mountain. The wind was gusting, as if a tornado was going to rip through the cabin at any moment. Chris and I decided to go to Ripley's Aquarium since it was a windy, rainy, and cold day.
The aquarium was by far one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Here are pictures from the first time we walked around.
After walking around twice, Chris said, "Let's walk through one more time." Of course I talked incessantly while we walked. We entered the pitch black jellyfish room. Chris stood behind me as I gazed at the bright blue aquarium. I thought nothing of it as he put his arms around me. Clueless, I just stood there and kept talking. He then nudged me to get my attention and said, "Will you marry me?" Before I even realized what I was saying, the eloquent words that left my mouth were, "Wha, Wha, Wha, What?!" Once I could speak clearly again, I said "YES, oh my gosh, I have to call my mom!"
